Car sales rev up in September


PETALING JAYA: Vehicle sales jumped 153% in September from August due to the full month of restored business operations nationwide following the relaxation of movement restrictions, the industry body said.

The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) said in a statement that the total industry volume (TIV) for September rose to 44,275 from 17,500 units in August. However, the September TIV was lower compared with 57,758 a year ago.
