Kawan Food suspends factory ops

The group said it has received an official letter from the Health Ministry on June 14 with instructions to suspend its operation from June 14 to June 21.

KUALA LUMPUR: Frozen food manufacturer Kawan Food Bhd has been instructed by the Health Ministry to suspend its operations for a week after 78 of its workers were tested positive for Covid-19 infection.

The workers at wholly owned Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd were tested positive on June 11.
