Trading ideas: KLK, IJM, Central Global

KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Thursday include Kuala Lumpur Kepong, IJM Plantations, IJM Corp, Central Global, MQ Tech, Handal Energy, Tiong Nam, Kejuruteraan Asastera and Fitters Diversified, says JF Apex Research in its daily highlights note.

KLK has offered to acquire 494.87 million shares in IJM Plantations, representing a 56.2% equity stake, from IJM Corp for RM3.10 apiece or a total RM1.53bil.

Central Global’s construction arm Proventus Bina Sdn Bhd has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Multi Scopes Engineering Sdn Bhd to set up a joint venture to build an RM250mil sewage treatment plant in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

MQ Tech has called off its plan to acquire a 70% stake in rubber and plastic medical products manufacturer Kibaru Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.

Handal Energy said two of its subsidiaries have secured contracts for the provision of services.

Tiong Nam is boosting its logistics warehousing capacity by acquiring the owner of a warehouse within Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Johor for RM30mil.

Kejuruteraan Asastera has bagged four solar projects totaling RM11.4mil in Thailand via its indirect subsidiary Energy Optimization (Thailand) Co Ltd.

Fitters Diversified said its unit has bagged a central purchase contract to supply Hypro Oriented PVC (PVC-O) pipes to Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB).
