KUALA LUMPUR: Hock Seng Lee Bhd has secured a RM130.7mil contract via open tender for the construction of the proposed Leadership Training Institute for the Sarawak civil service in Kuching.
It said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the job includes infrastructure works, pilling, administrative building and accommodation blocks and the related mechanical and engineering works.
The contract period is 27 months with physical construction work expected to commence in April 2021.
"The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of HSL group as the project progresses during the contract period.
"However, the transaction will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholdings of HSL," it said.
Shares in Hock Seng Lee were untraded as at the lunch break. Its last traded price was 95.5 sen a share.
