Commodities contributed RM85.1b to GDP in 2020


Of the RM85.1 billion, about RM48.3 billion was contributed by the palm oil sector.

KUALA LUMPUR: The commodity and commodity-based products sectors contributed RM85.1 billion to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) last year, Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said.

He said of the amount, RM48.3 billion was contributed by the palm oil sector.
