Bank Islam assists 350,000 customers impacted by Covid-19

Since the roll-out of the Bank Islam Targeted Repayment Assistance (TRA) programme in October 2020, almost 24,000 applications with outstanding financing amount of more than RM3 billion had been approved.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd has assisted 350,000 individuals and businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic through its financial relief assistance amounting to RM37.9 billion.

Chief executive officer Mohd Muazzam Mohamed said since the roll-out of the Bank Islam Targeted Repayment Assistance (TRA) programme in October 2020, almost 24,000 applications with outstanding financing amount of more than RM3 billion had been approved.
