KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Holdings Bhd
(WCT) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, WCT Bhd (WCTB) today executed an article of agreement with MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK) related to the scope of works of the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WCT said this was following the appointment of MRCBGK as a turnkey contractor due to the change from a project delivery partnership to a turnkey contractor pursuant to a contract between Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRCBGK.
Pursuant to the agreement, it said the scope of works of the LRT3 Work Packages has been revised and agreed with the salient amendments.
"The design and scope of the LRT3 Project has changed, and with this, a new revised contract price of RM819 million is agreed between WCTB and MRCBGK; and the revised completion date for the LRT3 project will be Nov 30, 2023," it said. - Bernama
