KUALA LUMPUR: OKA Corporation Bhd has closed its Senai factory temporarily until Dec 21 after two of its workers were found to be infected with Covid-19.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, it said the two workers were out of its total workforce of 200 in the Senai factory tested positive for the virus.

“The capacity loss is estimated to be less than 0.7% of the group’s total annual output. The Senai factory is one of the five factories within the group, ” it said.

OKA Corp said the two workers were under medical care at a government hospital.

It had immediately closed the affected Senai factory until Dec 21 as directed by the Ministry of Health to carry out deep cleaning and sanitisation.

All primary contacts of the affected individuals have been identified and placed under quarantine and will undergo subsequent testing.
