SCIB units secure EPCC contracts worth RM271mil


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd's (SCIB) wholly-owned subsidiaries, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn Bhd and SCIB International (Labuan) Ltd have accepted two engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contracts, worth RM271.14mil.

In a statement today, SCIB said the first contract, awarded by Dermaga Makmur Sdn Bhd, was to construct new school with 12 classrooms, six units of residences for teachers and other facilities at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kalor, Betong, Sarawak with an estimated value of RM18.3mil and was expected to be completed in March 2022.

The second contract, given by Pavilion Qatar Engineering Co. W. L.L., is for civil works - fire water project (47,000 metres) at Ras Laffan Industrial City - Power Station - in Qatar valued at US$62mil (equivalent to RM252.84mil) and is expected to be completed in November 2021.
