Malakoff 2Q net profit doubles to nearly RM105m


The independent power producer reported on Tuesday the net profit had doubled from RM52.25mil a year ago as the group’s share of profit from investments in associates rose by more than five-fold to RM50.50mil from RM9.70mil a year ago.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malakoff Corporation Bhd reported its net profit in the second quarter ended June 30 had jumped by 101% to RM104.95mil, boosted by increased earnings from Tanjung Bin Energy Sdn Bhd (TBE) and contribution from Alam Flora Sdn Bhd.
