CIMB Thai 1H net profit surges to RM186.2m


On a YoY basis, operating income rose by 756.6mil baht, or 10.5% to 7.92bil baht from an increase of 924.4mil or 165.9% in other operating income.

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Thai Bank pcl's net profit jumped 115.6% to 1.38bil Thai baht (RM186.23mil) in the the first half ended June 30,2020 on higher operating income and a decline in expected credit losses.

It said in a statement on Tuesday the improvement was mainly attributed to a 10.5% growth in operating income and a 6.6% drop in expected credit losses, partially offset by a 5.8% increase in operating expenses.
