Malaysia has RM36.7bil investments in the pipeline

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia had a total of 726 projects with proposed investments of RM36.7bil in the pipeline for the manufacturing, services and primary sectors as of June 2020, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) says.

Nevertheless, the government agency cautioned that 2020 remained a challenging year for all economies, including Malaysia, citing the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development’s forecast of up to a 40% decline in global foreign direct investment (FDI) flows from the 2019 value of US$1.54 trillion.
