Malaysia Airlines waives date-change fee

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) has introduced an ultimate flexibility ticket change policy, offering unlimited, free changes to all new and existing bookings which takes effect immediately following COVID-19.

The national carrier said all passengers could take advantage of the unlimited changes to the date of their flights with a date-change fee waver and they could also make changes to the destination, where any difference in fare would be applied.

"The policy applies to tickets issued on and before March 31, 2020. All rebookings must be made on or before May 31, 2020. Rebooked return travel must be completed by Dec 31, 2020,” the airline said in a statement today.

MAB said the rebooking must be carried out at Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office or via its Global Contact Centre at 1-300-88-3000 (in Malaysia) or +603 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia), as well as through Malaysia Airlines’ appointed agents.

Alternatively, passengers who wish to board earlier flights on the same day of departure could do so for travel between March 13 and May 21, 2020, subject to availability, it said. - Bernama
