Bursa ekes out mild gains as GDP meets expectations

KUALA LUMPUR: THe FBM KLCI just barely edged into positive territory at midday following the release of Malaysia's 3Q GDP results.

The National Statistics Department revealed that the country's economy grew 4.4% in the quarter, which was slower than 4.9% in 2Q. This was in line with a Bloomberg survey of analyst estimates.
