Ports boost MMC Corp Q2 net profit to RM67.2m


MMC said on Tuesday its net profit jumped 234% to RM67.22mil from RM20.07mil mainly due to higher contribution from Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (pic), lower operating cost at Johor Port Bhd and Northport Malaysia Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR: Ports underpinned MMC Corporation Bhd's surge in net profit in the second quarter ended June 30,2019 as well as gain on disposal of an asset held for sale and lower administrative cost across the group.

MMC said on Tuesday its net profit jumped 234% to RM67.22mil from RM20.07mil mainly due to higher contribution from Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, lower operating cost at Johor Port Bhd and Northport Malaysia Bhd.
