Copper touches six-week peak on US-China trade truce

Copper rose 1.08 percent to $5,989.75 a tonne, touching its highest level since early March, as the economic data from top consumer China helped reinforce expectations of strong demand.

US and Chinese presidents on Saturday agreed to resume trade talks after both sides offered concessions, but Chinese state media warned of a “long road” before the countries can reach a deal, with potentially more fights ahead.
