Ringgit opens lower against US dollar


At 9.10 am (0110 gmt), the ringgit stood at 4.0800/0850 against the greenback from 4.0820/0860 at the close on Tuesday.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar today on weaker demand as faltering sentiment on the global economy continues to cloud investors’ appetite, dealers said.  

At 9 am, the ringgit fell to 4.1900/1940 against the greenback compared with 4.1870/1900 at Tuesday’s close.
