Eversendai clinches RM321mil worth of new contracts


KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corp Bhd has secured a total of RM321mil new contracts in Singapore, Qatar and India.

In a statement Wednesday, Eversendai said the new win consists of a 26-storey commercial building project in Singapore and an army base camp project in Qatar. 

In India, the group secured a 49-storey tower plus another 41-storey commercial tower and a railway bridge project.

“We are pleased to note that the market environment in the regions we operate remain positive as they continue to roll out commercial, residential and infrastructure projects progressively. 

“We are also constantly reviewing and implementing strategic plans to improvise within, while consolidating our effort to ensure we achieve our goals,” executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan said in the statement. 

Year to date, Eversendai has secured new jobs worth a total of RM1.44bil while its outstanding construction order book stands at RM2.43bil. 

“We are pleased with our widespread order backlog that should keep us busy over the coming years,” Nathan said.
