Scientex shares rise 2.3% on acquisition news

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Scientex Bhd were up over 2% in early trade Thursday following news on its proposed acquisition of a 42.41% stake in Daibochi Bhd for RM222.5mil.

The packaging manufacturer is the top gainer on Bursa Malaysia, rising 2.31%, or 20 sen to RM8.87.
