Medicine suppliers to benefit from higher healthcare allocation


Higher allocation: A dispensary at a government hospital. The government is allocating RM29bil for the Health Ministry, an increase of 7.8 compared with the previous year.

PETALING JAYA: Medicine and medical equipment suppliers to the government are poised to be the main beneficiaries in the healthcare industry following several announcements by the government in Budget 2019 that was announced last Friday that will see more allocations provided.

Pharmaniaga Bhd, the largest listed integrated pharmaceutical group and the main supplier of medicine to the government at the public hospitals and clinics, will be the beneficiary of this move by the government.
