MAS’ 787 deal with Boeing lapses

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd says a provisional deal to purchase eight Boeing Co 787 jets has lapsed and the airline is in talks with planemakers on the future of its widebody fleet.

The national carrier last year signed a memorandum of understanding with Boeing to purchase the 787 jets valued at US$2.25bil at list prices during a visit to Washington by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
