Malaysia's Aug palm oil exports rise 4%


Malaysia has set a 5% tax on CPO export this month after a four-month suspension. The tax was calculated based on the palm oil reference price of RM2,409.66 per tonne for May. Any price above RM2,250 incurs a tax

KUALA LUMPUR: Exports of Malaysian palm oil products for Aug. 1 to 31 rose 4 percent to 1,072,524 tonnes.

From July 1 to 31, Malaysia shipped 1,030,909 tonnes, inspection company AmSpec Agri Malaysia said on Friday. - Reuters
