KUALA LUMPUR: Releasing its fourth quarter results on Tuesday, Hong Leong Bank  Bhd recorded a 23% rise in its full-year net profit to a record-breaking RM2.64bil, as compared to RM2.15bil the previous financial year.

The board of directors proposed a final dividend of 32 sen a share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 48 sen a share.

Commenting on the bank's earnings outlook,  Hong Leong Bank group managing director and CEO Domenic Fuda said a potential boost in private consumption is expected to offset any short-term pullback in business and government investments/
