PUTRAJAYA: The imbalance cost pass through (ICPT) rebate that is seen in the electricity bill is not funded by taxpayers money, said the Energy Commission (EC).
The EC clarified that the latest rebate of RM929.37mil in total from Jan 1 to June 30, 2018 that had been announced on Dec 26 will be funded by the Electricity Industry Fund (EIF).
