Xin Hwa secures contracts totaling RM13.7mil


JOHOR BARU:  Integrated logistics provider Xin Hwa Holdings Bhd has secured six contracts with an estimated total value of RM13.7mil for the transport of construction materials for the Mass Rapid Transit Route II Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya line.

According to the Xin Hwa, the contracts were awarded to its unit, Xin Hwa Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd, by BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd, Bridgex Sdn Bhd and SPC Industries Sdn Bhd for the transport of precast segmental box girders and crossbeams for the construction of the viaduct guideways and other associated works.

The value of the contracts may vary depending on the total tonnage of precast structures to be delivered over the tenure of the contracts, the last of which expires on December 2019.

The contracts are expected to contribute positively towards the group's earnings for its 2018 financial year, it said.
