Trading ideas: Trive Property, Dayang Enterprise, Serba Dinamik, Cypark

KUALA LUMPUR: Trive Property Group, Dayang Enterprise, Serba Dinamik and Cypark are among stocks to watch on Monday, according to JF Apex.

The research house also expects LB Aluminium, Prolexus and HSS Engineers to attract trading interest following their latest quarterly quarterly results and corporate news.

Trive Property has proposed a bonus issue on the basis of 1 new share for every 6 Trive shares held on an entitlement date to be determined later.

Dayang Enterprise has won a five-year contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, to provide maintenance, construction and modification (MCM) services for Package A (Offshore) — Sarawak Oil, for an undisclosed sum.

Serba Dinamik has secured seven contracts in the two months of August and September worth a combined estimated contract value of RM206mil.

Cypark’s 3QFY17 net profit rose 24.06% year-on-year, thanks to better performance by its environmental engineering segment, as well as its green technology and renewable energy segment.

LB Aluminium’s 1QFY18 net profit dropped 30% year-on-year due to lower other operating income while Prolexus reported a 30.05% year-on-year decline in its 4QFY17 net profit, as apparel sales fell following the softening of the US retail market.

HSS Engineers is planning to buy the entire equity stake in SMHB Engineering Sdn Bhd for RM270mil in a move that could see HSS bid for more water infrastructure projects locally and abroad.

Meanwhile, US markets advanced to record highs on Friday led by technology counters.

European stocks also climbed following improved investor sentiment after earlier geopolitical tension in North Korea.

“Following the bearish momentum, the FBM KLCI could remain pressured and trend lower towards the support of 1,750 points,” JF Apex said.
