Anzo gets letter of intent for RM1.2bil construction job

New high for Dagang NeXchange Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR: Anzo Holdings Bhd’s unit Harvest Court Construction Sdn Bhd has received a letter of intent for a mixed development contract worth up to RM1.2bil from KL Northgate Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, timber product manufacturing and construction firm said Harvest Court had on Thursday received a letter of intent from KL Northgate.

The scope of work involves, among others, piling works and main buildings works for a shopping centre and shop offices as well as hotel, residential and serviced suite towers in Selayang.

As part of the conditions, Anzo will work with MCC Oversea (M) Sdn Bhd to jointly undertake the project.

Anzo noted that the letter of intent was not legally binding.

KL Northgate expressed its intention to award the contract to Harvest Court subject to finalisation of final contract pricing and agreement of terms and conditions.

“The contract amount of up to RM1.2bil is an estimation given by KL Northgate based on the scope of works in the said contract,” Anzo said.

“Save for Datuk Chai Woon Chet, who is an executive director and major shareholder of KL Northgate and also the managing director and major shareholder of Anzo, none of the directors and/or major shareholders of Anzo or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the project,” it said.
