TNB bags two gold awards at governance and CSR event


TNB has proposed a final dividend pay out of 19 sen a share to be approved by shareholders. It had earlier paid out an interim dividend of 10 sen a share.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has grabbed two gold awards at the 9th Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Summit and Awards and the Global Good Governance Awards 2017 held in Langkawi recently.

The utility company said in a statement yesterday the awards were the Best Community Programme Award for companies with more than US$1bil market capitalisation and the Best Workplace Practices Award.

The Best Community Programme Award was granted in recognition of TNB’s commitment and sponsorship in empowering hockey development in Malaysia, particularly among teenagers, it said.

Meanwhile, The Best Workplace Practices was awarded to honour TNB’s various employee welfare through the implementation ofpolicies and best practices.

A total of 146 companies from around the world submitted their entries for 38 awards being contested in the event – the regions most prestigious and longest reigning for corporate social responsibility and corporate governance. – Bernama
