TM appoints Mesiniaga to install, maintain Internet gateway

THE FIRST COMMERCIAL BUILDING IN MALAYSIA TO BE BUILT ACCORDING TO PRINCIPLES OF ECOLOGICAL DESIGN: MENARA MESINIAGA IN SUBANG JAYA, SELANGOR.

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has awarded a RM20.73mil contract to Mesiniaga Bhd for the supply, installation and maintenance of its managed Internet gateway.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the ICT solutions and services provider said the contract was for an eight-year period from Jan 1, 2017, to Dec 31, 2024.

Mesiniaga said the proposed transaction would not have any material effect on its net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2017, but was expected to contribute positively to the company’s earnings over the contract period.

In 2014, Mesiniaga secured a five-year contract from TM for its HSBB IP Core project valued at RM223mil. It successfully rolled out the initial phase of the TM IP Core network in 2014 while the remaining phases were rolled out in the second half of 2015.
