CCM sells firms, exits fertiliser business


PETALING JAYA: Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd (CCM) is selling its fertiliser units for RM48.5mil cash, as the group seeks to exit the loss-making business and focus on key pharmaceuticals and chemicals divisions.

Its units had signed conditional share sale agreements with Hextar Fertilisers Group Sdn Bhd to sell its 100% equity interests in CCM Agriculture Sdn Bhd and CCM Agriculture (Sabah) Sdn Bhd.
