Fajarbaru bags RM11.68mil deal to redevelop LCCT


It was reported that MAHB was studying plans to fully convert LCCT into a cargo warehouse.

KUALA LUMPUR: Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd’s (FBG) unit Fajarbaru Builder Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award worth RM11.68mil from Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd for the proposed redevelopment of the air cargo handling facility at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Sepang.

The construction group told Bursa Malaysia that the contract’s duration of eight months starting March 14, 2016.

FBG said the contract was expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the FBG group for the financial years ending June 30, 2016 and 2017.

None of the directors and substantial shareholders, persons connected to the directors or substantial shareholders of the company and its subsidiaries or persons connected thereto have any interest, direct or indirect in the contract.

Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd, a unit of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) operates and provides airport-related services in KL International Airport and klia2 in Sepang.

It was reported that MAHB was studying plans to convert LCCT, the former operation hub for AirAsia Bhd, into a cargo warehousing hub. LCCT was officially closed in May 2014.
