KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects HeveaBoard, Pintaras Jaya and PUC Founder to be among the stocks which could see some trading action on Thursday amid a volatile stock market.
It said HeveaBoard has refuted several articles posted on an online stock investor portal and stated it reserves all rights to take legal action against the portal.
Pintaras Jaya has secured a RM27.5mil contract for the piling and pilecap works for a proposed mixed development project in Bandar Bestari, Klang.
PUC Founder is eyeing government-linked renewable energy (RE) projects as it aims to secure contracts via its joint venture (JV) with Malaysian Green Technology Corp (GreenTech Malaysia).
Overnight on Wall Street, US markets tumbled over 2% after report of higher US oil inventory. Earlier, European equities ended mixed amid renewed pressure on oil price and concern on China's economic growth.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI added 1.17 points to 1,642.54 after trading in a narrow range of six points.
“Following the bearish performance in the US, the FBM KLCI could decline today towards the support of 1,620,” it said.
