Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch on Tuesday Dec 22

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Tuesday December 22.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rose to a near three-month high on Monday, as a weaker ringgit and
concerns that drier weather could curb output boosted prices.
* Prices for U.S. grains and soybeans dipped on Monday, giving up slight early advances in thin,
choppy trade that focused on plentiful global supplies.
* Brent oil cratered to its lowest price in more than 11 years on Monday, as demand for heating
oil slumped on warmer-than-normal temperatures and traders tested for a bottom.

MARKET NEWS
* Brent crude oil prices touched their weakest level in more than 11 years on Monday on concerns
of global oversupply, while Wall Street ended higher as investors went shopping after two days
of sharp declines.
