Khairussaleh gets to work to see bank through a soft landscape


WITH the economy facing headwinds, Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli has his work cut out for him. Since assuming the highest position at RHB Capital Bhd, he had to immediately deep dive into the various operations to rework a strategy that can see the bank through a softer banking scenario.

Within a month into the job, he was already engaging the group’s senior management team to get their buy-in and ensure that everyone is on the same page. What followed was a reframed strategy anchored on achieving an ROE of 13% that was presented and approved by the board two weeks ago.
