CIMB Research retains Hold call on DiGi

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Equities Research is maintaining its Hold rating on DiGi as it believes the telco’s current valuations offer a fair risk-reward profile, given the possibility of more intense competition in FY15.

It said on Tuesday DiGi’s 1Q15 EBITDA fell 3.0% on-quarter (+0.7% on-year) due to lower service revenue as a result of weaker seasonality and more intense competition. The 1Q15 core net profit declined 2.8% on-quarter (+0.7% on-year) to RM485mil.
