Bursa Q1 profit higher

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s net profit rose 4.2% to RM47.05mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 from RM45.15mil a year ago, buoyed by its derivatives market.

Its revenue for the quarter increased by 3.2% to RM127.09mil from RM123.16mil a year ago. Earnings per share were 8.8 sen from 8.5 sen previously.
