Digi names chief network and IT officers

PETALING JAYA: Digi Communications Sdn Bhd has appointed Kesavan Sivabalan chief network officer (CNO) and Orsolya Sekerka as chief IT officer (CIO) with immediate effect.

Sivabalan is a telecommunications executive with 20 years of industry experience across Asian and Asia Pacific markets, while Sekerka’s experience is in managing IT development projects and operations.

Sekerka will have overall accountability for product development, project and portfolio management as well as IT strategy and development.

Formerly Digi’s head of IT development, Sekerka joined Digi in 2013 from Telenor Hungary and has over 15 years experience with the Telenor Group.

“We’ve built a solid foundation for the business, complete with a brand-new network, modernised IT assets and operations, and next-generation go-to-market models, systems and processes, to fuel future growth.

“I believe the organisational changes we are putting in place will give us the edge to be even more focused in driving enhanced efficiencies and execute sharply on business critical initiatives, and solidify our overall core competencies to deliver strongly to our 11 million growing customers and in achieving our long-term ambition to be the leading mobile internet provider for mass market,” its chief executive officer Albern Murty said.

As part of these changes, the customer service and customer management functions will be aligned to the company’s sales portfolio.
