KUALA LUMPUR: Eighteen pilots from HAS International Sdn Bhd (HAS) have been recognised by Airbus Helicopters for achieving 500, 1,000 and 1,500 flight hour milestones on the Airbus H175 during the company's Safety Week 2026.
The achievement comes just over three years after HAS commenced H175 operations in Sarawak, where it provides offshore crew transportation and emergency medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) services to clients including PETRONAS Carigali, Shell Malaysia, TotalEnergies, Mubadala Energy, ENEOS, PTTEP and SK Earthon.
HAS managing director Hasery Bakar said the recognition reflects the company's operational capability built through the professionalism of its pilots, the technical expertise of its engineers and technicians, and the commitment of its operations and support teams.
"While we are proud to operate one of the world's most advanced offshore helicopters, it is the professionalism of our pilots, the expertise of our engineers and technicians, and the commitment of our entire team that define HAS. This recognition reflects the operational capability we have built together and our unwavering commitment to safety."
HAS International has continued to invest in developing highly competent aviation professionals while maintaining the operational standards expected by leading energy companies since introducing the Airbus H175 fleet in 2023.
Airbus Helicopters Malaysia managing director Axel de Pascal said the pilots' achievements reflected the high standards of professionalism, operational discipline and safety demonstrated by HAS in supporting offshore transport missions.
The awards were presented during HAS Safety Week 2026, held from July 14 to 17 under the theme "Respond Right, Learn Always", which brought together employees, clients, regulators and industry partners to reinforce safety leadership, continuous learning and the sharing of best practices across the offshore aviation sector.
Established in 2012, HAS is a Malaysian offshore helicopter services provider offering crew transportation and MEDEVAC services to the oil and gas industry.
The company became the pioneer operator of the Airbus H175 for offshore oil and gas transportation in the South Asian region when it introduced the fleet in 2023.
