KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has received a safeguard petition from Ji Kang Dimensi Sdn Bhd, representing the domestic industry producing hot-rolled plate, which is used as the base material in various industries, including automotive, construction and electric and electronics.
Ji Kang Dimensi has alleged that importation of hot-rolled plates into Malaysia increased from 2011 to 2013, seriously impacting the domestic industry in the country.
