TNB net profit up to RM1.7bil


PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) second quarter ended Feb 28 bottomline was buoyed by a reduction in tax rate and a utilisation of the reinvestment allowance for the assessment year 2013.

The company’s second quarter net profit saw a year-on-year (y-o-y) increase of RM398mil from RM1.27bil to RM1.67bil on the back of revenue rising 13% to RM10bil in the respective periods.
