PETALING JAYA: The current level of household debt, which stands at about 83% to gross domestic product (GDP), will not impact Malaysian banks’ creditworthiness as the existing and new measures are sufficient to prevent it from becoming a bubble, according to analysts.
A banking analyst with a bank-backed brokerage told StarBiz that the research house was comfortable with the current level of household debt.
