PETALING JAYA: A more open education system that embraces the values of innovation will help spur the country’s economic competitiveness, according to former deputy higher education minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.
“The globalised trading world is all about competition: The point is to be innovative. All this while our education system has placed too much emphasis on exams, and teachers are under pressure to complete the curriculum and prepare students for exams.
