Massive Equity is a step away from privatising KFCH, QSR Brands

The offer was finger lickin’ good: Shareholders at the KFCH EGM yesterday. KFCH secured an overwhelming approval of some 99% of shareholders for the disposal to Massive Equity.

PETALING JAYA: With the nod from KFC Holdings (M) Bhd's (KFCH) shareholders in the bag, Massive Equity Sdn Bhd has one last lap to go in QSR Brands Bhd's EGM today before it can privatise both companies, a process that has been in the making for close to a year.

Massive Equity had offered on Dec 14 to acquire KFCH and QSR for a combined RM5.12bil, but delays caused by negotiations with YUM! Brands Inc, the owner of the KFC franchise, sparked grouses among minorities and doubts whether the deal would go through.
