IN a press release issued on July 19, when explaining its proposed acquisition of an events management business, Star Publications (M) Bhd uses the C word conglomerate.

It says: “This move marks another milestone for the media group as it continues its acquisition exercises with the aim of becoming a complete media conglomerate and total portfolio player.”
