Sapura group founder retires


PETALING JAYA: The founder of the Sapura group of companies, Tan Sri Shamsuddin Abdul Kadir, 80, has retired as chairman of Sapura Resources Bhd and Sapura Industrial Bhd, filings with Bursa Malaysia showed.

Shamsuddin is the father of Datuk Seri Shahril Shamsuddin, who would become the group president and chief executive officer of the merged Sapura Kencana.
