THERE are some things you just do not do if you are aiming to have a long and rewarding career at IBM, or any other company, for that matter. For example, when you agree to join, you should not ignore the importance of learning a little about the nature of the job that you will be doing. Also, it is not a good idea to show up on your first day of work looking inappropriately casual. And, finally, do not quit after less than a week.
