Asian markets up in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR: Asian stock markets were up in morning trade Friday, taking their cue from overnight Wall Street gains and stronger commodity prices.

“The market turned around when oil took off,” Dave Rovelli, managing director of U.S. equity trading at Canaccord Adams in New York was quoted as saying in a Reuters report.
