HUMAN capital management experts say managing talent through skills development and deploying them in meaningful work in a world where cross-border employment is becoming increasingly a fact of life is important if employers are not to lose their valued people.

According to Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group Sdn Bhd director (human capital services) Andrew Lee, employers should focus on the middle points of managing talent, that is, on deployment and development, rather than at the end points of acquisition and retention.
