PENANG: G-Shank Enterprise (M) Sdn Bhd is abandoning its plans to set up a new RM40mil plant in Bayan Lepas Industrial Estate, after the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (Mida) rejected its application for a five-year tax-free incentive for its operations here.
G-Shank, which has been operating in Bayan Lepas since 1991, specialises in designing and manufacturing components, such as memory card terminals and frames for cameras and cellular phones.
