Maxis goes on first mobile WiMax trials

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Communications Bhd has embarked on live trials of mobile WiMAX with Motorola Inc, claimed to be the first such trials in Malaysia. 

Begun in late December last year, the trials at four sites in Kuala Lumpur would be completed by mid-year, Maxis senior general manager for products & new businesses Dr Nikolai Dobberstein told a press conference yesterday.
